Setup Instructions
- Go to dagstercompass.com/login (opens in a new tab) or type
!adminin your Compass Slack channel - Click Add Connection → Salesforce
- Sign in to your Salesforce account as an admin
- Follow the OAuth flow in Compass to authorize access
- Select which objects you want Compass to analyze
- Wait for initial sync to complete
Data Sync
Salesforce data is synced via Polytomic (opens in a new tab) ETL:
- Initial sync may take several minutes depending on data volume
- Incremental updates happen automatically on a schedule
- Manual refresh available in the Admin UI if needed
Permissions
You must be a Salesforce admin to authorize the connection. The OAuth flow will request read-only access to:
- Standard objects (Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Cases)
- Custom objects you select
- Activity data
