Snowflake

Connect Compass to your Snowflake data warehouse to analyze data through natural language queries in Slack.

Setup Instructions

• Contact your Snowflake administrator to create an account
• Get your account identifier from the Snowflake console URL
• Set up password or private key authentication
• Request access to a warehouse and appropriate role

Required Snowflake Privileges

• USAGE on schema – Access schema objects
• SELECT on tables – Query table data for analysis
• SHOW privilege – View table metadata and structure

Network Information

Connection Method: HTTPS over port 443

IP Addresses: 52.25.53.27, 44.242.128.111, 52.35.195.86

Connects to <account>.snowflakecomputing.com – may require firewall allowlisting

Connecting to Compass

1. Go to dagstercompass.com/login (opens in a new tab) or type !admin in your Compass Slack channel
2. Click Add Connection → Snowflake
3. Enter your connection details:
   • Account identifier
   • Username
   • Password or private key
   • Warehouse name
   • Database name (optional)
   • Schema name (optional)
4. Click Test Connection to verify
5. Click Save to complete setup
